MATZ-ERREKA is a highly qualified company in the advanced manufacturing sector. It is the leader of the HARSH project as it is a benchmark company not only in the Basque Country but also worldwide in anchoring solutions for the wind power and Oil&Gas world, with clear projection towards the offshore sector. The expected technological results from the project will enable it to strengthen its position as a supplier of advanced anchoring solutions, as well as improving and strengthening its entry into the offshore field, a clearly emerging market, Oil&Gas and marine renewable energies.
CREDEBLUG considers this HARSH project to be strategic and aligned with its lines of activity in the field of the monitoring and control of underwater handlers. From the technological point of view, it is going to obtain a specific monitoring system for underwater handlers, as well as the sensor and specific signal processing systems. It will increase its already extensive catalogue of products and its expectations to penetrate the offshore market.
DITREL is a SME with a very specific market within the manufacture of overhead insulators for electricity distribution. The main objective of DITREL is the diversification of its activity, whilst remaining in the electricity distribution field but going to the sea to look for new markets. The entrance of new competitors in this market over the forthcoming years requires its diversification with a new product, such as the underwater electrical connector which it aims to design in this project.
GLUAL has a large number of products aligned with renewable energies, particularly offshore wind power. This means that the “marinisation” of these components takes on huge importance for GLUAL's strategic line, which is aimed towards the offshore Oil&Gas and wind power market. Furthermore, GLUAL operates internationally in the market and in production. The high level of innovation and experimentation in GLUAL's developments in this project means that its participation is highly relevant in the HARSH LAB.
Thanks to its extensive knowledge of the product, market and environment, the Hine Group is leader in the design, manufacture and sale of oil-hydraulic systems and components. HINE RENOVABLES participates actively in the development of specific solutions for offshore wind power. Within this framework, HARSH is a project of great interest for HINE, in which we are researching new materials and coatings for hostile environments and we are working on remote monitoring strategies that reduce Operation and Maintenance costs, increasing the added value of HINE products for the offshore market.”
NAVACEL is a company in the manufacturing sector, specialised in the production of large metal tubes for use as pilots to support offshore wind power or in trussed structures for jackets. It is this activity that will be reinforced with the project, seeking the optimisation of its production processes to be able to position itself against the competition. The result of the project will help NAVACEL to reinforce its presence in the market and to position itself against world competition in terms of cost and quality.
